Faculty Social Responsibility Activity Plan for 2024–2025
In 2025, #We:
- Strengthened community awareness and security resilience by organizing the “Resilience to Hybrid Threats” training.
- Partnered with “Maisto bankas” in the “Bring a Jar” initiative, collecting over 200 jars to reduce food waste and support those in need.
- Promoted environmental care by installing seven handmade birdhouses on campus.
- Enhanced community safety through “Raudonasis kryžius” training sessions on civil protection and first aid.
- Joined the international BIP program “Health4Media” in Romania, exploring mental health and emotional well-being topics in media communication.
The results of the qualitative research on hate crime and vulnerable communities showed that one of the reasons why victims of hate speech or hate crimes do not report them to law enforcement is the lack of knowledge that it is possible to report and/or where and how to report, as well as the lack of knowledge and/or inability to defend their rights.
