Today, the Faculty of Business Management hosted two outstanding speakers who shared their inspiring success stories of living and working in Lithuania.
Prashant Rana, a renowned photojournalist, researcher, author, and teacher, spoke about his experience in visual storytelling through photography, films, and text. His work has been exhibited globally, including a project on Roma nomads showcased at Vilnius Town Hall. Prashant Rana’s approach to storytelling through photos, films, and sound taught students how to use various media for effective communication. His focus on visual stories enriched their understanding of multimedia journalism and creative content production.
Oleg Somin, an entrepreneur, educator, writer, and digitization expert, shared his journey from running a small digital studio to becoming the Business Development Director at NeoZebra International Educational Center. His insights into technology and strategy empower people to thrive in today’s modern world. Oleg Somin’s expertise in digitization and his work in educational technologies gave students insights into the importance of digital transformation in education and business. They learned about practical tech-driven solutions, the role of technology in marketing, and strategies for business development in a digital world.
Andra Folea, a co-founder of candy brand “Krunchas”, presents herself as follows: “Hi! My name is Andra and I moved to Lithuania six years ago, and over time, it truly became home. I learned over time how to integrate in the Lithuanian culture without loosing the essence of my own culture. Last year, my boyfriend and I decided to start something close to our hearts—a freeze-dried candy business. We wanted to bring a touch of happiness and sweetness to the lives of Lithuanians, sharing smiles and joy through every treat we create. It’s been an incredible journey, building this dream in a place I’m proud to call home.” From the Andra Folea’s journey of founding “Krunchas” students learned about entrepreneurial thinking, innovation and resilience.
All three speakers emphasized innovative approaches to their respective fields – whether in visual storytelling, candy production or digital education. Students enhanced their ability to think creatively and find solutions in entrepreneurial, artistic and technological contexts. They also students gained insights into cultural diversity, the importance of inclusive storytelling, complexities of cultural adaptation.
