Student mobility is one of the most important elements of modern higher education, fostering not only academic development but also cross-cultural experience, language skills improvement, and personal growth. The European Commission–funded Erasmus+ programme offers students opportunities to take part in a variety of international study, internship, and intensive learning initiatives; one of the most exciting examples is the Blended Intensive Programme (BIP).
From April 21 to 25, students from the International Business, Creativity and Business Innovation participated in the BIP “Business Growth and Innovation,” organised by the Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences. This programme blends online and in-person experiences, giving students the chance to deepen their understanding of business growth, innovation, and sustainability in an international setting.
The programme was structured in two parts—online and in-person:
· Online session (April 8, 2025) included interactive seminars and lectures covering business innovations and the challenges of the global market.
· In-person session in Tallinn (April 21–25, 2025): practical workshops, company visits, and meetings with entrepreneurs, cultural events introducing Estonia’s vibrant innovation ecosystem. April 24 students participated in the Ülemiste City Future Forum 2025, themed “Business Growth – Leading the Next Wave.” April 25 visited Ericsson Estonia to learn about the company’s operations and workflows.
The ECTS workload was 3 credits—aligned with the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System—and was open to BA, MA, and PhD students aiming to develop practical business skills and expand their international network. Participants completed assignments and defended their work, receiving official certificates upon successful completion.
Student mobility is not only a way to experience new cultures but also an investment in one’s personal and professional growth. Programmes like BIP “Business Growth and Innovation” provide students with invaluable experiences that they can carry into their future careers and ongoing professional development.
