Erasmus+ Project Kick-off Meeting on 29-31 of October in Vilnius

The first day of the Erasmus+ “INTELLIGENT: INnovative TEaching and LearnIng of GENeraTions Z and Alfa in Higher Education” project started with a kick-off meeting that offered a strong start to the initiative, bringing together project partners from six countries to align on objectives and discuss the project structure. The day began with introductions from each project partner institution – Vilniaus kolegija / Higher Education Institution (VIKO, Lithuania), Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences (EUAS, Estonia), RISEBA University of Applied Sciences (Latvia), Avans University of Applied Sciences (Netherlands), EDUGEP (Portugal) and IFOA (Italy). Each representative highlighted their institution’s expertise and planned contributions to the project.

A workshop then explored the unique characteristics of Generations Z and Alpha, focusing on their digital and learning preferences, which are central to developing qualitative and quantitative research and innovative entrepreneurship teaching and learning methodology for GenZ and Alpha.

The work packages planned for 2024-2025 were presented afterwards, emphasizing the development of novel teaching methodologies and entrepreneurial education tools. Preliminary versions of qualitative and quantitative research questionnaires were also reviewed by the project partners to lay the groundwork for future data collection. Different concepts and frameworks of the entrepreneurial skills were discussed and project partners collaborated to further refine the research questionnaires, ensuring a clear alignment on data collection goals and methodology.

On October 30, 2024, the sessions focused on the discussion between the project partners on the development of innovative tools and entrepreneurship learning/teaching methodology that could enhance learning experiences for GenZ and Alpha. Project partners have discussed the main milestones and agreed on the division of the responsibilities between the partners.

After lunch, the focus shifted to entrepreneurship, with partners working collaboratively to develop a comprehensive methodology for entrepreneurship learning and training. The final session of the day centered on project management, where communication and dissemination channels were outlined and plans for monthly meetings during 2024-2025 were set. Partners have also agreed on the next meeting in the Netherlands in the spring of 2025.

On October 31, 2024, the focus was on organizing meetings with business representatives in each of the partner institutions. Partners worked together to outline key objectives and strategies for engaging with businesses to support the project’s goals. The second session of the day provided an opportunity for feedback and evaluation, where participants reflected on the progress made during the meeting, discussed any challenges faced, and identified areas for improvement in the upcoming phases of the project.
