Student Visit to Klaipėda

On November 5–6, participants of the project “Foreign Talents for Lithuania,” funded by the State Study Foundation, visited Klaipėda city.

During the visit, students enhanced their knowledge of Lithuanian history and culture by visiting the Klaipėda Castle Museum and improved their teamwork and intercultural competencies at the Baltic Sea Animal Rehabilitation Center of the Lithuanian Sea Museum. The group also visited two companies: the family business UAB “Gėlės tik Jums” and UAB “OBER-HAUS.” At “Gėlės tik Jums,” students learned about the company’s founding story and expansion, as well as the business management, customer service, and marketing strategies it employs. During their visit to “OBER-HAUS,” students deepened their understanding of Lithuania’s service industry, discussed the current trends in the real estate market, and explored internship or employment opportunities for international students.

The trip was not only informative but also inspiring, offering participants a chance to apply theoretical knowledge in practice, broaden their cultural, social, and professional horizons, and improve their foreign language and communication skills.

Here’s feedback from one of the students: “I really enjoyed this trip to Klaipėda. I believe such events are very important both for the university and for students. For the university, it’s an opportunity to establish connections with companies and develop promising projects. For students, it’s a great chance to explore Lithuania through travel, learn about different companies, receive valuable advice, expand their business knowledge, or even find future employment opportunities.”

As Yaroslav explains, “Among the special features of my own point of view, I can note an attempt to emphasize deep, small moments in everyday life, which can impress everyone from the right angle. The world itself is beautiful – it all depends on how and through what you look at it.”
