Teaching visit at Oulu University of Applied Sciences, Finland

2023 November 20-24, lecturer Dalia Karlaitė from Management Department visited Oulu University of Applied Sciences (OAMK), Finland. She gave lectures to students in international business. The importance of sustainable consumption and production was discussed with the first-year students and they were looking for ways to improve the global situation. The importance of business ethics and social responsibility in ensuring sustainable development was discussed with the second-year international group of students, and students formed models for strengthening business social responsibility and ethics during workshop.

D. Karlaitė also met with the representatives of the International Relations Department and the heads of the International Business Studies Program, with whom they discussed possible future perspectives of cooperation between the two institutions: cooperation in conducting scientific researches, ensuring student mobility for Erasmus studies or blended intensive programs (BIPs).

Some interesting facts about OAMK:

  • OAMK is open 24/7 – active life is happening here.
  • The Oulu Campus Nacigator mobile app helps you navigate in the building.
  • Smart lighting is installed in the building (there are no switches in the classes).
  • Students and teachers arrive by sustainable means of transport: buses or bicycles (even in winter! and there are just few cars near HEI).
