Trainings for Educators: Developing Entrepreneurial Competencies for Generations Z and Alpha

On June 17, 2025, Vilniaus kolegija/Higher Education Institution hosted a training session for lecturers as part of the Erasmus+ project “INTELLIGENT: INnovative TEaching and LearnIng of GENeraTions Z and Alfa in Higher Education” (2024-1-LT01-KA220-HED-000256404). The session was led by Laima Paraukienė, Head of the Training and Cooperation Development Unit at the Faculty of Business Management.

During the training, key entrepreneurship competencies were presented, including creativity, strategic thinking, leadership, risk management, financial literacy, and sustainable thinking. It was emphasized that Generations Z and Alpha value autonomy in learning, meaningful and socially relevant content, interactivity, and personalized feedback. Insights from students, lecturers, and business representatives were discussed, based on interviews and a quantitative survey. Various teaching and learning tools and methods were introduced, such as the Business Model Canvas, Design Thinking, and the GROW Coaching Model, along with a simulation game being developed to foster entrepreneurship skills. The training was attended by 40 lecturers.
