From 2nd to 4th of February, the representatives of RISEBA University of Applied Sciences, Estonian Entrepreneurship University of Applied Sciences, International School of Tallinn, Arcada University of Applied Sciences and Vilnius University of Applied Sciences visited the University of Stavanger to continue the work on the topic Teaching and Learning in Multicultural Classrooms, supported by Nordplus Horizontal.
Over the three-day study tour with subtopic Involvement of the Students to the Study Process the participants observed lessons in UiS’s Master in Energy, Environment and Society, discussed the teaching techniques utilized in the course, exchanged feedback with staff and students, and learned about UniPed, a programe at UiS devoted to offering professional support to its teaching staff. Additionally, the group was invited to visit the Vindmøllebakken collective: a co-living space based on sustainable living and a mindset of „gaining by sharing“, offering another perspective on multicultural community living.
Throughout the study tour, participants and host faculty at UiS exchanged notes and ideas, discussed the benefits and downsides of certain teaching techniques/course structure observed, and finalized the study tour with strong aspirations for further cooperation between all partners.
