The INSEEC BBA International Week, held across the vibrant cities of Bordeaux, Lyon and Paris in France, is a hallmark of the institution’s commitment to fostering a global mindset among its students. The 2024 edition of this prestigious event, spanning from February 12th to 16th, offered an enriching platform for students, professors, and professionals to delve into the realms of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Ethics, and Sustainability.

This year’s program kicked off in Bordeaux, moved through Lyon or Paris, and wrapped up with insightful wrap-up sessions, marking a week filled with workshops, seminars, and networking opportunities. The international week underscored the program’s global ethos, with teachings in both English and French, and emphasized the importance of international internships and academic study abroad.

Among the participants were Vilniaus Kolegija / Higher Education Institution lecturers Linas Staršelskis and Dalia Karlaitė, who, through their participation in the Erasmus+ teaching mobility activity, brought invaluable perspectives to the table.

Dalia Karlaitė: Navigating the Crossroads of Sustainability

Dalia Karlaitė offered a compelling workshop on “Crossroads of Sustainability: The Importance of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility.” Her sessions were a deep dive into the crucial interplay between business operations and societal impact, and environmental challenges, encouraging students to critically evaluate global problems and the role of ethical practices in mitigating these issues.

Linas Staršelskis: Bridging Gaps with NLP

Linas Staršelskis, on the other hand, led discussions on “Bridging the Gap: Integrating Mission and CSR Initiatives with NLP.” His approach intertwined the principles of Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP) with CSR initiatives, aiming to enhance communication skills, emotional intelligence, and the effective integration of organizational missions with CSR efforts.

A highlight of the week was the student projects competition, where Dalia and Linas joined the jury panel. This segment showcased the practical application of learned principles, as students presented projects that were not only innovative but also reflective of the ethical and social responsibilities discussed throughout the week.

The INSEEC BBA International Week 2024 was more than an academic event; it was a convergence of minds and missions, aimed at preparing students to be professionals who not only excel in their fields but also contribute positively to society. The participation of esteemed educators like Dalia Karlaitė and Linas Staršelskis significantly enriched the experience, leaving a lasting impact on all attendees. As we reflect on the successes of this year’s international week, we look forward to the continued growth and global engagement of our students and faculty.
